55 year old Western Australian kayaker and adventurer Terry Bolland has paddled the Murray, Avon and Blackwood rivers in Australia, as well as the three largest rivers in the USA, the 4000 km Mississippi River, the 3400 km Yukon River and most recently the 4000 km Missouri River. The record 60 day journey that went from near Yellowstone National Park in Montana, to the Mississippi River near St Louis in Missouri, battled terrible conditions and was fully self supported and solo. Terry carried 26 litres of water, merely 35 days worth of food, a satellite phone, camping gear and accessories which all equated to over 120 kilograms of gear.
